The first day that you decide to stop smoking you need to detoxify your body. To do this you need to flush your system. You can do this by drinking lots of water, fruit juices and herbal teas. You can make yourself fruit smoothies as well. The first day should consist of a complete liquid diet.

Light Meals

You want to keep your meals light and healthy after the first day of trying to stop smoking naturally. Lots of green leafy vegetables, nuts and fruits. No meat or seafood on the second day as you still need to detox your system. On the third day you can start to introduce whole grains and cereals into your diet. This means breads, brown rice, and oats.

While you are trying to stop smoking naturally you need to avoid frozen foods, pre-prepared meals and junk food. Coffee, sugar, sodas, salt and grease are all out and will be adverse to your recovery. You need to eat healthily otherwise you will not be able to stop smoking naturally.
